IMPACT! BONFIRE NIGHT

Hello All.
Last night was a great night. I’m really sorry for all those who missed out.
Last night we all gathered around the bonfire, sharing testimonies that revealed so many different facets of God’s character. The first truth is that God is never-changing which is so appreciated in a world where nothing is promised to stay steady. We learned that God has given us so much, when we deserve nothing, and thus complaining has no place in our walk with Christ. God is Savior and God is good. We heard a story of a changed heart and life turned around by redemption. Then just after songs of praise, someone shared with refreshing honesty their struggles with walking with Christ. Just as they finished confessing, someone offered to pray for them right then, and there.
God is love: a lesson from someone who teaches who is learning the need to exhibit unconditional love to their students. By revealing Christ’s unconditional love we can be havens for the suffering, and thus showing them Christ is us.
God disdains pride: A lesson shared about being humbled mightily and unexpectedly bowed low, yet with such grace. God creates unity and acceptance: Someone praised God for finally finding a place to be loved and accepted. We were spurred on to memorize God’s word, when we were told of how much this has helped in they’re everyday life. Other things we learned of God last night were: God is faithful, God is to be served, God is to not only be feared, but delighted in, God is to be praised. Last night was saturated with fellowship as we all gathered around the great unifier, Jesus Christ. Dustin reminded us that this is how the world will know we follow Jesus; By the love we have for one another. And he also challenged us to let this fellowship extend past the borders of IMPACT! nights, and into our everyday lives. Fellowship was so sweet, and is so vital to everything we do, but true love for one another begins with falling in love with Jesus first.

Peace and Grace everyone; I hope you have a good week everyone!
